Task 2
Dramatisation:
-
Dramatization is the creation of a dramatic performance of material depicting real or fictional events. Dramatization may occur in any media and can play a role in education and the psychological development of children.

Presenter-led:
using a presenter can be a great way to engage directly with your audience and help to explain some key features more clearly. Sometimes there's no better way of explaining a product, organisation.

Narrativization
-
narrative is how the story of a media text is constructed and how it relays its information to an audience.
-
In other words, it is usually the storyline for a film or music video

Use of expert/witness
using an expert in a documentary of factual film allows for validity and a professional opinion, it makes the viewer think. Documentaries use interviews with experts and eyewitnesses in order to authenticate the views expressed in the film. The interviewee is usually framed within the shot and speaks to the offscreen interviewer rather than addressing the audience directly.
Use of interviews:
Using interviews in documentaries of factual programs makes the viewer see that there is multiple people to back up the story or that it shows different views on the subject.
They can also contribute vital facts and information in a simple way for the audience to understand. Of course, the interview has to be conducted in a professional manner, and the right documentary interview questions have to be asked for it to be classed as a success.(How To Conduct A Documentary Interview - Music GatewayMusic Gatewayhttps://www.musicgateway.com › blog › filmmaking › d...)

Use of actuality footage
- film footage of real life events, places and people compared to fictional films which use actors, scripts and sets. Documentaries are not actuality films instead they use actual footage from real events that show proof and makes the reader visualise the situation.

Task 3
An expository documentary is a type of documentary filmmaking where a commentator talks over the video to explain a specific story. They are based on information presented in an explanatory way and speak to the viewers directly, and, importantly, the viewer doesn't see the narrator throughout the documentary.(Expository Documentary | Its Key Features & 5 Steps - Wedio Academywedio.comhttps://academy.wedio.com › expository-documentary)

- From my understanding an expository documentary is a type of factual filmmaking that involves a commentator talking over the video explaining a specific story.
They are based on information presented, speaking to the viewers directly, the viewer doesn't see the narrator throughout the documentary.
Expository documentaries are informative, instructional, educative, and persuasive.

Observational

interactive
-
An interactive documentary is a documentary production that differs from the more traditional forms of video, audio, photographic by applying different multimedia tools.

-
Interactive documentaries provides a unique medium to create non-linear productions that combine photography, text, audio, video, animation and info graphics. Making them different to the traditional type of documentary
In an observational mode documentary, the filmmaker watches what happens in the world around them without interfering. The filmmaker stays out of the way while real-life events and people unfold. (https://www.sothetheorygoes.com/documentary-observational-mode/#:~:text=In%20an%20observational%20mode%20documentary,for%20this%20kind%20of%20filmmaking.)
- Observation documentary is a type of documentary focused on non-interrupted observation of real-life people and events. The filmmaker follows real-life events and people around without disturbing them.

Educational
An educational documentaries is one of the most common as it informs people and teaches people about a specific subject they tend to be more common as they are factual and people watch documentaries to learn new things about a niche subject or learn more about.
reflexive
is when the film maker acknowledges their presence - they are in front of the camera and give some narrative guidance.
Reflexive documentaries are typically about real life things therefore they are truthful. There are no editing or special
effects they are just filming real life. it allows the audience to see how the film is made and the pressure these documentarians are under when making these films. it also makes you aware of the issues a film
maker has when making a documentary.

Wildlife
- they are obviously to do with animals and the outdoors but they tend to be around what animals do how the wildlife live and what they get up too. they are usually filmed by placing a camera out in the open it captures whatever whilst a narrator talks over it, they are quite similar to an educational documentary as it techies you about the wildlife and its factual.
Investigative
this type of documentary is when they go investigate deep into different areas to expose malpractice or false formation.
these tend to expose the truth they are usually to do with celebrities and positions.

in conclusion, I think the most popular documentaries are between wildlife and Educational, educational documentaries are popular because they provide an engaging way to learn about different subjects. they can make difficult subjects more engaging. as documentaries provide real life stories and an experts insights, it helps the viewers understanding grow, allows to learn and be entertained at the same time, whereas wildlife documentaries are so popular as they allow the viewer to learn about the way the world works outside or human interference, they also provide a unique perspective on ho different species live and there behaviours.

Task 5
PROPOSAL
The genre will be an educational/entertaining documentary, it will feature the same codes and conventions of a documentary but have some elements of a factual talk show. My target audience is 16-24 as my video is about fashion and style today in this generation and how it has a negative tool on the environment and other 3rd world countries, it will be a 10-minute video discuss why u shouldn't feed int fast fashion and trends that may cause harm on the earth and countries, it will feature me interviewing different people of the age group, to see their style and what trends they may follow and if they're are self-aware in what they're wearing and where it may come from. The purpose of this video is to inform and educate them on fast fashion, toxic trends and how it affects poorer countries, hopefully it will make people be more aware of what they're buying and feed into. A similar existing product is True cost, which is a documentary about fast fashion and how it affects countries like India, Bangladesh and so forth, they also go into how it the materials are made and where they come from. My video will be made a bit more entertaining but not to the point where it’s un-serious and un-ethical. The style will be formatted like a talk show/documentary hybrid. I will go back and forth adding clips of my talking to my chosen interviewees and some clips to educate the audience and put it into perspective. Some legal and ethical issues I will have to watch out for is using brands or showing brands in my video and as I have not got permission to use their name and promote their products, as it’s a factual program about fashion and clothes this will be challenging as I can't control what they say.

SOURCES
PRIMARY:
-
Interviews - In my video I will be using interviews as this is the way I will be finding out more about them and what they like to engage with in fashion.

-
Talking heads - I will use talking heads to show what the cast/ interviewees are thinking.

-
Stats and statistics – to show proof and to be a more a more reliable source, and show how many people shop and consume this sector.
